Job Duties:
The Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Clinical or Counseling Psychology who will contribute to our undergraduate Psychology program and our growing Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology (SEPP) graduate program. Key Job Responsibilities:
Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
Supervise SEPP practicum students in their delivery of consulting services.
Perform institutional and community service.
Teach undergraduate-level courses which could include: Counseling and Psychotherapy, Psychopathology, Statistics, and/or Research Methods.
Contribute to ongoing SEPP graduate program development.
Teach graduate-level courses which could include: Theoretical Orientations, Counseling Microskills, Multicultural Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods in Applied Sport Psychology, Sport Sociology, or Practicum.
Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay.
Develop a research program involving collaboration with undergraduate and graduate students and/or faculty.
Advise and mentor students.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Earned doctorate either in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field from an APA-accredited program within an accredited institution OR an earned doctorate in Sport Psychology with a Master’s Degree either in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field from an APA-accredited program within an accredited institution by the start date. Candidates who have not completed their doctorate by the start date will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire. Upon degree conferral, the title will change to Assistant Professor. The contract will not be renewed if the degree is not conferred by the end of the terminal appointment.
