Description
- Serve as athletic trainer to the University intercollegiate athletic program on a daily basis as assigned.
- Perform administrative duties for the varsity athletic training program and the athletic training program as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Training.
- Serve as a preceptor for athletic training students in rotations.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the appropriate administrators.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Certification by the Board of Certification, Inc.
- Ability to work effectively as an athletic trainer with intercollegiate sports and with the University’s administration, faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to clinically supervise undergraduate and graduate students in the athletic training program while providing athletic training services to intercollegiate and interscholastic athletics.
Desired
- Master's Degree in Health, Exercise Science, Sport Management, and/or Athletic Training.
- Atheltic training experience in football, basketball, baseball, and/or soccer in the college and/or high school setting.
Prior to hiring, the final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation, including information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
