Description
Job Summary
This role supports students within a residential school environment by providing supervision, mentorship, and leadership in daily community life and experiential learning programs. The position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and structured living and learning environment while upholding community norms and standards. Responsibilities include student supervision during meals, activities, study halls, and residential programming, as well as participation in outdoor and experiential education.
The role also involves supporting student health needs, including administering medications and coordinating medical visits when necessary. Team members lead outdoor expeditions such as backpacking or whitewater rafting and kayaking, and contribute to the broader school community through designated auxiliary roles. Additional responsibilities may include teaching physical education, academic support courses, and experiential or place-based lessons.

Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for working with high school students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptable, resilient, and able to handle challenges in a dynamic residential setting
Experience in at least one of the following:
Backpacking
Whitewater rafting and/or kayaking
Transferable skills from another outdoor or experiential sport
Ability to uphold community norms, model positive behavior, and maintain a safe learning and living environment
Willingness to participate in residential supervision, outdoor expeditions, and auxiliary program roles
Openness to working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff in a team-oriented environment
