Description
This position is responsible for all phases of the program, including recruiting, academic monitoring, game preparation, staff supervision, scheduling, public relations, camps, fundraising, budgeting, and compliance with NCAA rules.
- Instruct and coach student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Develop systems, strategies, and skill instruction.
- Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
- Coordinate with athletic training and strength staff.
- Plan practices and game strategies.
- Recruit quality student-athletes.
- Monitor academic progress and retention.
- Maintain recruiting software and compliance records.
- Manage budget and scheduling.
- Lead fundraising and public relations.
- Ensure NCAA compliance.
- Coordinate travel and program operations.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the appropriate administrators.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Coaching and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed athletically and academically.
- Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, other coaches, students, and alumni.
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in Health, Exercise Science, Sport Management, and/or Athletic Training.
