School of Nursing/College of Health SciencesNannie Longfellow Endowed Chair and Professor of Nursing Science The School of Nursing in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware invites applications for a senior-level tenured Nannie Longfellow Endowed Chair and Professor of Nursing Science position. We seek a visionary senior scholar with a vigorous, extramurally funded research program that aligns with one of the School's existing research strengths. The School of Nursing aligns with National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) and its identified research lenses: Health Equity, Social Determinants of Health, Population and Community Health, Prevention and Health Promotion, and Systems and Models of Care. Doctorate and current faculty rank of associate or full professor required. This endowed chair is a 5-year tenure-line, renewable upon successful review. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in Nursing or related sciences.
- US RN licensure, Delaware RN eligible.
- Eligible to be approved for a tenured full professor appointment.
- Demonstrated record of extramural funding as Principal Investigator in the area of health equity, social determinants of health, population and community health, prevention and health promotion, and/or systems and models of care using translational, community-engaged, implementation science or related frameworks.
- Experience mentoring students as well as early career nurse-scientists.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for both professional and general audiences.
- Lead and maintain an extramurally funded research program.
- Mentor junior faculty and foster interdisciplinary collaboration within and beyond the University.
- Cultivate and lead opportunities for student involvement in research projects.
- Teach in area of expertise (graduate or undergraduate); recruit and mentor PhD students in area of expertise.
