Sakash Health and Wellness (SHW) is looking for a full time Pilates teacher to join our team in North Conway, NH.  Responsibilities will include; teaching group classes, privates, and semi privates; administrative tasks of documentation, and client management; daily studio care and maintenance; and participation in community offerings and special events. 

Sakash Health and Wellness is a boutique physical therapy and pilates studio located in the beautiful village of North Conway nestled in the white mountains of New Hampshire.  We fuse together the evidence-based science of physical therapy, the body-mind-spirit work of Pilates, and the subtle art of movement education to help you eliminate chronic pain, restore physicality, enhance performance, and improve the experience of living. We use a holistic approach to develop a unique and personalized program that will meet our clients' goals. For some, this may mean focusing on relief, recovery, and reset in order to avoid surgery, pain medications, and unnecessary injections. For others, it may mean enhancement of strength, mobility, and physical performance to take their daily activities and recreational pursuits to new levels.

Health care providers and wellness practitioners work side by side in one location where clients can experience a highly educated and experienced level of care. Our clients are all ages and they come to the studio at varying levels of physical health looking to improve their quality of life. 

Since we opened in September of 2018 we have grown a lot and we plan to continue to grow and expand our services and our space. Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Completion of a comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program. National Pilates Certification or willingness to achieve is a PLUS.
• Must be knowledgeable in basic anatomy and kinesiology
• A minimum of 1 year of experience teaching Pilates group classes and private/semiprivate sessions.
• Familiarity with the MindBody Online booking system, OR very comfortable with computers and able to learn quickly

MAIN ROLE & DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach small group Pilates classes consisting of 3 students using reformers, towers, props, and mat-based exercises
• Conduct Introductory class and private sessions for new clients including review of paperwork, medical history, and goal setting to assess and recommend the appropriate progression into their Pilates experience
• Teach single and semi-private Pilates sessions from beginner to advanced levels - using all of the various Pilates apparatus (reformer, chair, tower, ladder barrel, Pilates arc, trap table, pedi-pull, foot corrector), the Pilates mat exercises, and the CoreAlign.
• Teach online (live) virtual Pilates classes or privates only as needed to promote consistency for clients when traveling. We are primarily an in-person teaching studio.
• Keep daily notes/records of client sessions in our online record system.
• Management of your client caseload.
• Support a fun, caring, client focused studio culture.
• Basic studio care and maintenance as needed.
• Morning, night, and/or weekend availability in schedule.
• Willingness to sub classes and work as a team to create consistency for clients and flexibility for teachers.
• Participate in mentorship and training meetings to develop skills and go over case review and studies.

PROMOTION & PERFORMANCE

• Desire to participate in and support the ongoing development of a successful business. We have a strong, intimate studio vibe but we have big dreams and goals
• Understand and be knowledgeable about the services offered in the studio so that you can present clients with options and help them create the best program for them
• Promote all SHW programs, services, and products
• Responsibility for promoting and filling group classes and private/semi private schedule to capacity
• Responsibility for retention of client base
• Growth potential to a salaried manager position
