- Assistant Performance Coach, Men's & Women's Tennis - Athletic Performance

POSITION SUMMARY:
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Performance Coach to perform a variety of duties related to athletic performance programs for student-athletes. Assists in the implementation of sport-specific strength, agility, conditioning, and speed programs for Men’s & Women’s Tennis. Oversees general activities in the weight room to ensure proper procedures and lift protocols are followed. Assists in monitoring of the student-athletes’ work ethic, techniques, and proper training skills.
This position requires the incumbent to lift and move one hundred plus pounds; be a flexible, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; multitask effectively; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and with high energy, intense personalities; and work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive overnight travel.

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
-
- Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field and one year of related experience training at a collegiate or professional level
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) OR Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of and experience working with Men’s or Women’s Tennis
- Experience working with GPS monitoring systems
- Experience interpreting performance metrics
