About the Role:
Are you a Speech Pathologist with extensive clinical experience? We are particularly looking for someone with experience working with people with disability and in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Curtin University’s School of Allied Health invites applications for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as Lecturer (Teaching Academic) in Speech Pathology. This is a part-time (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week) continuing position, tailored for an individual who excels in their field.
In this role, you will coordinate units, develop learning materials and curricula, and teach and supervise students across a range of levels. The ideal candidate will bring experience in clinical practice, teaching and clinical education, and building strong relationships with industry and the community. Experience working in a university setting, particularly in equity programs and supporting diverse students across a range of backgrounds and age groups, is highly desirable.

What We Offer You:
This is a part time (0.6 FTE), permanent position, with a salary range between $121,857 - $144,352 (ALB) per annum, plus 17% superannuation.

Requirements
Who we are looking for (selection criteria):
- Education: A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalence and professional standing – please see below.
- Teaching Skills: Demonstrated high level teaching skill and a reflective approach to teaching delivery (including teaching speech pathology students, colleagues, clients or family members).
- Pedagogical Knowledge: An emerging understanding of contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
- Unit Coordination: Demonstrated experience or capacity to undertake the unit coordination role.
- Communication: Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
- Policy Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
