Encompass Health seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation. In our inpatient rehab setting, you’ll implement treatment plans, assist patients with therapeutic activities and ADLs, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and adaptive techniques
Accurately document patient progress and responses to treatment
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians on care plans
Educate patients and families on home exercise and safety strategies
Maintain treatment areas and equipment according to safety standards
Follow all regulatory, infection control, and hospital policies
Participate in team conferences and contribute to discharge planning
Therapeutic exercise techniques
Activities of daily living (ADL) training
Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive devices
Rehabilitation documentation and EMR use
Basic anatomy and kinesiology
Patient transfer and mobility techniques
Assessment of functional abilities under OT direction
Infection control and safety procedures
Interdisciplinary team collaboration

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
BLS/CPR certification
