Description
Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support skilled therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care. You’ll implement treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, monitor and document progress, and maintain accurate records. Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, and use of assistive devices
Monitor, document, and report patient progress and response to treatment
Assist with patient evaluations by gathering data and performing delegated tests
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in EMR systems
Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other care team members to coordinate care
Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and facility-specific policies and procedures
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, and patient-centered work culture
Therapeutic exercise implementation
Gait training and balance interventions
Manual therapy techniques (within PTA scope)
Use of physical agents and modalities
Patient transfer and mobility training
EMR and clinical documentation
Patient and family education
Anatomy and kinesiology knowledge
Rehabilitation equipment operation
Infection control and safety protocols
