Description
Physiotherapist – Part-Time or Full-Time | Gympie
SANA Physiotherapy | Gympie, QLD
20–38 hours per week | Flexible days and hours
SANA Physiotherapy is looking for a Physiotherapist to join our Gympie clinic, with the role available anywhere from approximately 20 hours per week through to full-time.
This is a great opportunity for a physio who enjoys having autonomy over their caseload and clinical day, while still having the support of the broader SANA team and working alongside other allied health professionals.
Our Gympie clinic is based within an established allied health and exercise environment, alongside a team of Exercise Physiologists and Dietitians. You'll manage your own physiotherapy bookings and caseload, with opportunities for collaborative care and cross-referral within the team.
About the role
You'll manage a varied physiotherapy caseload with a strong focus on musculoskeletal care, rehabilitation and helping people return to the activities that matter to them.
The role includes:
- Assessment and management of musculoskeletal and sporting conditions
- Manual therapy where clinically appropriate
- Exercise prescription and progressive rehabilitation
- Return-to-work, activity and sport rehabilitation
- Developing and managing your own treatment plans
- Managing your appointment book and patient follow-up
- Working collaboratively with Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and other health professionals
- Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation and communication
- You'll have a good level of independence in managing your clinical day, while still having access to support and clinical discussion with experienced physiotherapists within SANA.
Flexible hours
We're deliberately keeping the structure of this role flexible.
The position can be anywhere from approximately 20–38 hours per week, and we're happy to discuss how those hours are arranged around the right person.
That could mean three longer clinical days, four days per week or a traditional full-time week.
If you're already based in Gympie or the surrounding area and looking for a role that fits better around your life, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
About you
You'll need:
- A recognised Physiotherapy qualification
- Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
- Current Australian working rights
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- An interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and active rehabilitation
- Confidence managing your own caseload and clinical decision-making
- Private practice or musculoskeletal experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
We're also open to a new or recent graduate who is keen to develop their private-practice skills, takes ownership of their learning and is comfortable developing towards greater clinical independence.
Why SANA?
SANA Physiotherapy is a Sunshine Coast and Gympie physiotherapy business focused on practical, evidence-based musculoskeletal care and rehabilitation.
Our approach combines good clinical reasoning, manual therapy where appropriate, exercise and progressive rehabilitation rather than relying on passive treatment alone.
You'll have:
- Flexible 20–38 hour working week
- Flexibility around how your working days are structured
- Autonomy over your caseload and appointment book
- An established clinic and existing systems
- An allied health environment with Exercise Physiology and Dietetics
- Opportunities for collaborative care and local referrals
- Support and clinical discussion with experienced SANA physiotherapist
- Scope to increase your hours over time if you want to
- The opportunity to make the Gympie physiotherapy caseload your own
