- Sr. Coordinator - The Farm
Description
The Farm at Lee Martinez Park has served as a beloved educational and hands-on family-friendly destination for Fort Collins residents and visitors since 1985. The Farm offers interactive experiences, farm animals, party rentals, pony rides, a farm store, and much more for guests seeking local fun.
We are hiring a Senior Coordinator who will lead the coordination of programming at The Farm, including camps, classes, and special events. The ideal candidate will be excited to expand and enhance program offerings for the community. This position will occasionally assist with other Farm operations, including animal care and general maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
* Coordinates, schedules, instructs and/or supervises recreational activities, classes, and events.
* Coordinate, monitors, and manages staff scheduling as it pertains to specific area of coordination.
* Assist in coordination of publication of programs, services, and special events.
* Recruit, train and schedule volunteers that assist in assigned program area.
* Evaluates effectiveness of recreation area, facilities, marketing, instructors, and services.
* Prepares program budgets; tracks and monitors revenues; authorizes expenditures of department funds and the maintenance of department records.
* Promotes recreation programs by personal presentations coordinated with the department’s Communication staff, assisting in the preparation of publications, brochures, news releases, flyers, etc.
* Assists with facility scheduling and maintenance.
* Provides customer service by answering questions, filing applications, providing information and referrals.
* Acts as staff liaison to internal user groups and to external boards, partners, and networking groups.
* Maintains collaborative planning and working relationships with allied public and voluntary agencies.
* Compiles monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
* Participates as a member of various department collaborative teams.
* Transport program participants in City vehicles when required.

Requirements
Minimum - High School Diploma or GED and or functionally related licenses or certificates
Preferred - Bachelors degree from 4 year college or university in Recreation, Recreation Administration, Human Development, Physical Education or related field.
