Your Demographic
- We have one of the biggest private practice case loads in Sydney, with our clinicians on average having a load of around 30% of their weekly load ACL rehab
- Currently the Performance and Rehab partner for Triathlon NSW
- Work with multiple club work across the Inner West, (with a strong focus on womens sports) including Inner West Magpies AFL, Sydney Cricket Club, Greenlees Netball and Sydney Uni Rugby League Club with more planned for 2027
How We Treat
Genuine one-to-one. We do not double-book
Our in house AI tools for notes, GP letters, patient messaging, ACL systems, and physio second opinion assistant designed to help you clinically reason and justify your assessment and treatment decisions.
About the Role
We will be honest.... this role does not exist yet. We are looking for someone to create and build a program from the ground up!
We have no women's health service, and it is the obvious gap in what we offer. We want a physiotherapist around three years out to build one from the ground up, inside a clinic that already thinks in loads, testing and return-to-sport rather than in appointments.
Most women's health roles put you in a room on your own, in a practice where nobody else quite understands what you do. This one runs the other way. The women we see are already here and already athletes. A netballer returning after a baby is a loading problem, a pelvic floor problem and a return-to-sport problem all at once
There is a clear line between women's health and what we are already known for. Female athletes tear ACLs at markedly higher rates than men, and we see 20–30 ACLs a week. A programme connecting pelvic health, load tolerance and injury risk in female athletes is a genuinely interesting thing to build, and we have the caseload to build it on.
What You'll Step Into
A blank page and a $10, 000 budget. Equipment, training and marketing it properly.
Your own scope: how the service runs, what it treats and who it is for is substantially yours to design
Two gyms, force plates and an anti-gravity treadmill to build post-partum
return-to-running and return-to-sport pathways on
An existing sports caseload to grow the service from, rather than starting cold
Support to keep developing your own clinical niche within it
The Opportunity in Women's Sport
Our club relationships span AFL, cricket and netball, and those clubs field women's and girls' teams.
If you want to work in women's sport, this is a direct route into it. The person who grows this will be someone who enjoys the networking
Who You'll Work With
A multidisciplinary team: six physios, a chiropractor, a remedial massage
therapist, exercise physiologists and a strength and conditioning coach
Mentorship from a Titled Sports Physiotherapist, with support with an external provider to build your women's health knowledge
1–2 hours of one-to-one mentoring every week
Weekly group in-services
Weekly team meetings and case conferences
Quarterly lectures from external experts: shoulder surgeons, sports doctors and
specialists in the field
Quarterly team dinners and outings
$1,500 CPD budget (pro rata), on top of the programme budget
Requirements
Essential
Around 3 years clinical experience
Women's health training completed or well under way
Full AHPRA registration
A driver's licence
Legally eligible to work in Australia (no sponsorship available)
Someone who wants ownership of a service, and who will do the unglamorous first year: the talks to clubs, the referral relationships, the specialists, explaining what you do to people who have not thought about it
Desirable
SIRA accreditation
Interest in AFL, cricket or netball, and the drive to build relationships in
those sports
Experience working with female athletes in rehab or performance settings
Sideline coverage is not a requirement of this role the way it is elsewhere in the clinic, but it is there if you want it.
We welcome applications from all qualified candidates. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applicants who bring balance to our current team dynamics.
